Archthypes was founded in 2018 by Andrea Sanchez Moctezuma. The project consolidates a cad-based catalog which explores the illustrative typologies of 2D graphics.

Andrea (b.1992) is an architectural designer from Mexico City, she obtained her Bachelor degree in Architecture from the Southern California Institute of Architecture (SCI-Arc), where she graduated with distinction and was awarded the Thesis Merit Prize. Andrea has worked with AZMPL in London, Oyler Wu, HLW and Griffin Enright Architects in Los Angeles. She completed her post-professional Master’s Degree in Architecture from Yale University in 2023.

Andrea’s personal reserach focuses on the creation of a database titled The Taxonomy of Unscripted Living which archives and catalogs colloquial typologies of rural Mexico.
